The advantages of Parylene treatment
The most important characteristic of Parylene is that it solidifies directly from the gaseous phase at ambient temperature, giving a high-performance coating that can be applied to a wide variety of substrates.
The treatment results in a linear, crystalline structure that has superior protection qualities at low application thickness. Colourless and transparent, Parylene is the only polymeric coating available on the market that is not in liquid form.

Total coverage
Deposition from the gaseous phase allows Parylene to infiltrate even the most difficult-to-reach places. It gives an even coating all over, sharp angles included, without creating “bridges” between adjacent surfaces.

Superior degree of penetration
Long, narrow tubes or deep cavities, Parylene is deposited in a predictable and controlled way.

Coating thickness
The deposit thickness can be controlled from 1 to 30 microns, or even more.

Corrosion protection
Parylene is resistant to corrosion caused by humidity, aggressive environments, solvents, gases or saline mist.

Optical clarity
Transparent and colourless, Parylene film absorbs practically no light in the visible spectrum.

Unrestricted treatment
Polymerization of Parylene occurs at ambient temperature.

Conformity
This unique process gives Parylene films unequalled conformity and uniformity, as well as ensuring that they free of porosity or defects.

Compatibility
Compatible with body tissues and blood.
